congrats on the win tommy, all you need to do is drop a 72mm turbo and 9" rear in your cobra and join me in nmca street race next year.

No can do Jeff, the Cobra is pretty much retired now to Fun Street Beast. I got where I wanted to and I'm done. It's still 100% intact as a street car and I love it that way. Good luck with your ride, I know you've put a lot of time in it.

Yeah, Dan told me you went a 98 or someting? Thats pretty awesome man...car is flying! How hard can you leave on it? On MT DR's I'm leaving at 5600, slipping the clutch just a little. Had a 1.62 at the FFW Richmond race.

I read the article and though to myself if a put a 125 shot on it I would have placed like econd or third.

I was running 28x10 hoosiers. I was leaving at 4800rpms and slipping the clutch lightly to get the 1.46 60fts and ran a 9.94 @ 140+ . At the shootout I was killing the clutch to 1.56-1.5760fts. I'm back to the M/T DR's now. Last season I ran a 10.44 @ 138 with my old blower. Hoping for some 10.teens now.

Wow, 1.40's is very impressive, especially with the IRS. The best 60 I've had in my car was a 1.58 at the NMRA Atco race last year. I can't get the car to hook at MIR for nothing anymore, I don't think the track has been prepped well. My car should be 1.55-1.57 with my suspension now, and the best I've had at MIR is a 1.61...And my motor needs all that 60 foot to make any ET. If I had a turbo or N2O I could probably make it up some on the big end...

Still running a KB blower?
