I would like to compete in a event i have a 87 coupe that runs 8'os i know it doesn't have a 7.50 but it might get a 7.80-90. i run at a local track and thats about it, like to at least hit one big race just to have done it? will my car run with the others or ??

as far as i seen in outlaw 10.5 u need a high 6 second car or a low 7 second car. Seems like u need to compete in a class other than outlaw 10.5 or sso,might have to detune & run hot street or renegade. Might wanna find out more from someone that races more though

You're going to be out gunned but show up and compete any way. That's the only way to learn and see if you want to get more involved.

dont know what the deal is sometimes it works some times it dont need a better place to view it .

Will it fit onto SSO rules? At least 7.90-8.00 is somewhat in the ballpark.

I say give it a shot anyway. No matter what happens in eliminations, you'll meet a lot of good people and have a hell of a good time in the process. Plus, who knows what can go down on the track? If you can get it down clean every time, that's half the battle right there...

I will fit better in the SSO class but i had a little smack with the wall at the clash of titans race in tulsa, car is coming together now be out soon cant wait to race in a bigger event

It's all relative...

Sure, some of the bigger National races brings in more cars. But many of the big names show up at Clash of the Titans, Texas True 10.5, Texas King of the Hill, NSCA, ORSCA, etc.

All of them are pretty "big" events.
