I think cost has a lot to do with it mostly. Everything is still very expensive. I do know that Lisa Reffett is moving to PS, but not sure if she is staying with the modular stuff.

My understanding is there is one already in the making. We shall see

I know of one 99 Cobra that was ready for battle in 2002 but ran out of interest in the class towards the start of the season.
Too bad too 'cause it showed some serious potential!
It may be for sale soon... :(

I am going to be running a 302 in pure street for 2003 season. I did start a 4.6 4 valve pure street project. Even Dyno the car on a chassis Dyno. I do think by all my expences & research that a 4.6 4 valve would be competive with more Dyno times & new Comp Cams that are now avaiable. Because of a new job assignment that I took on at GM. I do not have the time to cont the dedication that it takes to cont with a MOdular. It seem with a modular you have to create everthing. Example: I have worked with Stef fabrication on a 4.6 4 valve oil pan for a year & half. (which was finished at PRI 2002). when I deceided to run a 302 I received a custom pan in one week.
I am selling my 4.6 4 valve longblock which includes 2001 cobra block, 4.6 4 valve ported heads with 325 ex flow # which where ported by Dart enginerring, custom ferra valves spring & retainers,Comp Cams, CP piston, Eagle H beam rods, cobra crank, ARP bolts, Canon pro pan. Selling for $6000. I paid $4000 just for the valve & porting.
I will be traveling World wide so the best way to speak to someone about the engine would be to call shane at 317-409-9387 or 317-852-9949

There is going to be a couple of mod motors in P/S this year. A former Hot Street car is going to be in Pure Street this year. Also, a multi-event winner in Modular Muscle is building a modular/fox combo for this season.
Should be interesting.

We are in the process of putting a mod motor on the engine dyno now to see what we can get out of it.We have a shop and we build engines and cars for people so we are going to spend some time on the dyno to try and get the project off to the right start. What kind of hp numbers would i need to looking to get out of this motor to be competive. L reffett if you dont mind i have a few questions for you. Could you please e-mail me at wicked35th@att.net What kind of computer tunning is available for the motor? Thanks everyone for all the help

Your choices for tuning is autologic or Epic. Anderson is working on a PMS but it is not complete yet. I have had both tuning devises. I prefer the autologic. Call me about you other question Lisa
The three Mod car that are being built for pure srteet I have spoke with all three owner of the projects and I would not expect to see them anytime soon.

My cell phone would be the only way to get ahold of me over the next 3 weeks. I am flying from California to Datona Beach Fl hosting GM ride in Drives on future products. My cell is 317-409-9390.
