Just wondering they were planning on going back to Milan or back to Martin. I wasn't too fond of Milan. They could have at least cut the damn weeds down for us.

Dale,
My guess is that you can plan on Milan for a long time to come. Turnout was very good.
US 131 is off the list from what I can tell.
Are you coming to Columbus?

I'm pretty sure we will be back for 2008, as for the weeds, it will be noted for the next race there.

I was told me and my car would have to be IHRA certified to run there next year. That came from the track tech guy.

I would rather have it at Martin (42 miles from my house) :D
That and Plank road will about destroy a truck and trailer.
Both tracks do have issues.
Local advertising would help with the turn out.

I wish I could make Columbus. I'd like to try and crack the top 10 with only 4 races, but I'm flying to FL for vacation on Friday. Looks like B.G. is tyhe next one for me.

Milan has a great fan base for this type of racing. We raced at NMRA Milan and NMCA Milan. Before the rain out, the NMCA event had packed stands and the track had teeth! I heard Rob Golobo went a 1.11 60' time in his Outlaw 10.5 Camaro. I would rather race at a so so facility with a ton of fans vs a top notch track in front of nobody.
Disclaimer: I am not insinuating that Milan is a so so facility. :D

I know what you're talking about. I stayed at a nice motel in Monroe, about 20 miles away. First 15 miles was on CUSTER Rd and then it turned into Plank Rd going north. What a throw-back to the early 1920's and 30s ! And I ran into the "highway crew" throwing some patch on the holes blocking the entire roadway! Yes drive down the center for best results. Milan track was pretty good tho, except for the restrooms:eek:
