29th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA Ford Expo
National Trail Raceway, Columbus, OH
August 30th - September 2nd, 2007
With just two races left in the season, every round of competition in the NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals series has the weight of the championship chase behind it. Last year, the penultimate round in Atco saw dramatic lead changes in several classes, and this year’s 29th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA Ford Expo at National Trail Raceway in Columbus, Ohio will be just as important in the final standings. Once class that’s going right down to the wire is MSD Ignition Super Street Outlaw, with defending champ John Urist and his ProCharger-blown Saleen neck and neck with nitrous small-block racer Sam Vincent, who’s been on the bumper and setting records all year, and Don Burton, who sprayed his big-block Mustang into the winner’s circle twice so far this season. Columbus will also be the deciding factor in ProCharger EFI Renegade as well, with a four-way fight between Brian Mitchell, Bart Tobener, Tony Orts, and Aaron Stapleton to see who will come out on top going into the season finale. We’ve never had so many classes so close, so deep in the season, and nobody’s giving an inch of ground – everyone with championship hopes will be on the track.

That’s not all that will be going on over the weekend, either; the Ford Expo, in its third decade at National Trail, will bring out some of the coolest Nostalgia Ford race cars & show cars we’ll see this year with Saturday’s Car Show classes set up to highlight each decade with 20 decade-specific awards to be given out. Along with the Mini Meets, giant manufacturers’ midway, and swap meet - this is the place to be Labor Day Weekend, August 30-September 2!
