Just wondering what kind of transmissions everyone is using for Real Steet. I've heard about some using a Pro-shifted Tremec but I heard that they are not good for using on the occasional street trip to the store or wherever. Just trying to find some imput on this and Real Street in general. Thanks.

We run a Hanlon pro-shifted TKO in our car. As far as not being able to drive them on the street that is BS. About 9 years ago I delivered pizzas in a mustang with a Liberty pro-shifted T-5. Once you get the hang of down shifting the car, it's a breeze to drive on the street.

pro shifted trannies are a lil hard to downshift, thats why they're not good for the street. hanlon makes good tko's for real street

Sure you can drive them on the street with a little practice. Although, every time you shift the car, a little bit of the splines wear away. So it is just a matter of time before the splines wear down and it will start popping out of gear.
You definitely can't go wrong with a pro-shifted trans from Liberty. Those guys are putting out a great pro-shifted trans with excellent customer service.

Liberty definately does have a great pro-shifted trans, and their customer service is outstanding. I have driven my trans on the street without problems. It does take some getting used to though.

That is not the Liberty transmission place that you want. No disrespect to them, but they are not the well known place here in Michigan that is known for their Equalizer trans. The Liberty in Michigan is known as Liberty Gears.
Phone number is 313-278-4040
Ask for Paul because he always takes good care of me on my pro shifted Tremec.
