I WAS GOING OVER CONTINGENCY AND PAYOUTS AND SOMETHING COUGHT MY EYE I SAW OPEN COMP AN BRACKETS PAY MORE TO WIN THAN SOME HEADS UP CLASSES I WILL BE RUNNING REAL SREET IN 2003 AND THINK PAYOUTS SHOULD BE RAISED IF BRACKETS CAN GET 1000 TO WIN WHY CANT REAL STREET LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK DONT GET ME WRONG RACING AINT GONNA MAKE ANYONE OF US RICH THATS NOT WHY WE ARE HERE WE SPEND RIDICULOUS MONEY AND COUNTLESS HOURS BECAUSE WE LOVE THE SPORT JUST TRYING TO MAKE IT MORE INTERESTING WE DO PUT PEOPLE IN THE SEATS.........

Perhaps that is because there are so many bracket cars in comparison to 25 (2002 highest count) R/s cars?

that may be th case but making the payouts higher would put more cars in the class there are already more cars in than last year dont get me wrong i would race for nothing but making a higher payout wont hurt

I agree, and didnt mean to argue. Just thought I would provide another viewpoint. I am sure all the racers would be happy to see the purse increase, we would!

SVT, you're right O/C & brackets do get a larger payout. but brackets don't get any contingency money. & if you look closer R/S gets $150 to win & $50 to R/U, meanwhile O/C gets $60 & $30. now theoretically speaking since I have yet to win in O/C or any other class for that matter if you have 10 contingency items on your car in R/S your lookin at makin $1500. by that same token if I were to win in O/C with the same 10 items I look to make $600. so now with your $400 purse & your $1500 cont. money you jst made $1900 meanwhile just made $1200. so technically speakin you just made more money than I did.
