9th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA World Finals
October 4-7, 2007
Beech Bend Raceway Park
It’s that time of year again when all roads lead to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the 9th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA World Finals at Beech Bend Raceway. The Ford faithful will be taking over on October 4-7, filling the home town of the Corvette with Mustangs from end to end, and once again fans will experience the very best in doorslammer drag racing as the 2007 NMRA Keystone Ford Nationals season comes to a close. While every Bowling Green final has been exciting, this year brings something extraordinary – every class championship is still up for grabs, thanks to close racing throughout the season that’s leading up to a photo finish at Beech Bend. Can John Urist hold off the competition to repeat as MSD Super Street Outlaw champion, or will nitrous racer Don Burton, who’s carried the number two on his windshield for far too long, finally rise to the top? Defending ProCharger EFI Renegade champ Brian Mitchell just needs a few more points to clinch, but Bad Bart Tobener, the only man who can catch him, has not one, not two, but five spare engines and is ready to burn them all to the ground if that’s what it takes. Will this be the year when 5.0 Magazine Real Street racer Bruce Hemminger finally earns the championship he’s been chasing for so long? It all comes down to the NMRA finals, and we’ve never seen a drag race weekend quite like this!
