What does a factory stock car typically run in the 1/8? mph? Just curious trying to figure out what class to run. Thanks.

7.19 2v
7.21 Pushrod
7.24 4v

These are the best I've seen. You need to look at more than just 1/8mile times. Check out the rules for each class and go from there. All the classes have a lot of details most people are surprised to find out about.

Like Tommy said, check the rules to see if your car fits the class.

The fastest way to figure out what class you would fit in to would be to post your combo. We all have read the rules so many times and for so many years we could tell you what you would have to change in order to fit into certain classes. The official rules for next year will hopefully be out before Christmas. I know the NMRA is having a rules meeting today to discuss the preliminary rules that are due out before the first week of December.

Starting from scratch, Have a 94 GT bone stock, the air silencer is removed and a catback but that's it. Also has 3.73s. that is why I was looking at this class, maybe a less expensive way to go racing sooner rather than later. Just kicking Ideas around for now.
Thanks for your input.

No problem, it is the "ENTRY" Level class but any heads up class is far from entry level. I have to say this was my first season and I loved every second of it, it's awesome! Get to work and get out to FL. for the opener.

That's the plan, it good that we have such mild winters here in TX, tracks are open almost year round. lots of opportunity for seat time. Anyone run their street car? or just strictly built race cars? Like I said just feeling things out.

Thanks for the comments. Not really any street cars. It would be a tough road that way.

I had planned on coming to race last weekend but had some tranny issues and could not get it fixed in 3 days so I left the car home and watched the racing action just like I have for the last 7 yrs and had fun like always. I hope to make the race in Reynolds next year with new motor and new tranny so hopefully I don't feel like a plastic spoon in a gun fight. Hope to see you guys next year in Reynolds Ga.
