Great run by John Mcgowan.. Congrats.. its a shame that the race was cancelled until.. Atlanta.. but its good to.. means I get to see more racing in Atlanta..:D

i heard that 10.49 was with a illegal intake when he changed to a legal intake he slowed to 10.60's

Yes, he had to switch intakes but the "Officals" said there wasn't a performance advantage to the intake he had. He also had a milk shake problem after he switched intakes, which is what I think slowed him down.

I talked to John about the intake deal and it was that he had the performer air gap intake that was legal in the class and then they took it off the list (I think for this race season) and John didn't catch that it was taken off... Its the same intake he ran in the NMRA and was only port matched so there wasn't anything fancy with it..... So he changed to a standered performer that he had to go buy off a shelf and the intake was leaking.....
