Is this correct for the bracket races? You could run a Mustang with a Chevy engine?
Thanks,
Steven

NMRA All-Ford Drag Racing Competition is designed for Ford Powered or Ford Bodied vehicles. NMRA Bracket Competition will feature a Dial In for Dollars run off on Friday and two days of bracket eliminations. Time Trials will be permitted each day for Bracket competitors. Class designations are required on vehicle clearly as follows. Bracket I = BI, Bracket II = BII, and Bracket III = BIII, followed by a car number. The tracks local bracket racing procedures and safety provisions will be in effect for all competitors (See Class & Safety Requirements) All classes in Bracket competition will run quarter mile with the exception of Silver Dollar, GA, and Bowling Green KY, witch will be run 1\8 mile. Bracket III will run a full quarter mile at Silver Dollar, GA.
Im with Sam, but that first line could be more specific. it does say Ford powered OR ford Bodied.
Im sure Jason will see this and respond.

they put Ford Powered for the few dragsters or Altereds that have Ford Power, otherwise at least last year it had to have Ford for power. You could bring a Ford Powered Chevy, but not a Chevy powered Ford.

Guys I got an e-mail from Trey Capps saying a Chevy power Mustang can participate in the bracket classes. I was curious because several years ago I did see a Chevy power Ford roadster in a bracket class. By the way I don't have a Chevy power Mustang and never would but I do know someone building one.

That really sucks.. If that is so, they need to change the rules. I saw that chevy powered crap at Bowling Green and he was on jack stands working on it, but he should have never been able to go down the track..

you talking about the army roadster car right? not a big fan with that hideous looking bowtie proudly displayed in the front. Why bring that to a FORD NATIONAL SERIES? I say no general motors products period. Take that to orsca or another form of racing other than NMRA.

I agree it should be FORD only.
That would be like allowing any power plant in any of the other classes as long as its in a FORD body. NMRA really needs to fix this.
Or maybe I can put a Ford Grill shell on my Dragster, and say its a Ford...
Wait that wont matter because its powered by a FORD..
but you see where I was going? Maybe I can machine some Valve cover adapters to use Ford covers on a Chevy engine? think many of the Local track Teck guys would even KNOW the differance?
