I was pitted next to Brian Meine (orange 66 Mustang Open Comp).
Brian's brother, Kevin is battling cancer. He underwent an operation on Wednesday before the event. Kevin runs a 69 yellow Mach I in Open Comp. They are from St Louis. He has raced in many NMRA events as well as the World Ford Challenge.
He is in good spirits and we know he is going to have a speedy recovery.
Let's all keep Kevin in our thoughts and prayers.

Thanks to everyone. The surgery went very well they feel like they were able to remove all the cancer, lower colon and small part of liver, seven and half hour surgery.Kevin looked a lot better today.I thank he is starting to get bored in the hospital, cant hook up a vcr to the tv so he can watch all the tape from florida. We think he may be discharged this weekend, depends on how well the cuts have healed. He has been up taking short walks a couple times a day.He talked about maybe taking his 95 to georgia or flying down and rent-a-racer,since we had started the repaint on the mach 1.Thats what I call a positive attitude! I will let everyone know when he gets home.
Thanks again!
