can anyone advise if there is a process that can be done to remove pitting on glass (inside) caused by a grider .

You will never get it all out, but Flouride toothpast will take some of it out. works great on scratched glass too.

I would think even if you could get all the pits out with polishing, you'd have some distortion issues to deal with.

is it pitting or just metal stuck to the glass from grinding?
I had the same on mine and wiping it was useless. I took a single edge razor blade and "scraped" the whole surface. About 75% was just metal dust from grinding, the pitting wasn't as bad as I thought.
Then my hood slid down off of the roof and cracked the windshield at the base.:mad:
My fault of course...had the hood too far back on the roof and I opened the hatch which pushed the hood forward and....
