Hello.
Newbie here..

first off,
I plan on coming to Bowling Green in October.
I bracket race everyweekend and was wondering which class a low 13 second stang would be good for, other than true street.
also any open comp classes for cars,
also do I have to be a member of NMRA to run? can't I just show up???

sorry for the stupid questions, I have always wanted to do this and work has kept me from it, now I have vacation days and I will be there!

thanks in advance!

you would fit into bracket 3 or possibly bracket 2. bracket 3 is a street car bracket and bracket 2 is the no electronice, but you do have to run a certain ET to be in it (i'm not sure how fast that is) there is also open comp which you could race in. the rules for all of these classes are on the NMRA website and you could get more info about open comp in the open comp forum.

i don't know if you care or not, but last year they ran all the brackets 1/8th mile so if you wanted to run 1/4 mile you'd have to run open comp. i'm assuming it'll be the same this year, but i haven't checked.

yeah, they run open comp at every race. it gets grouped in with the showdown classes. it's supposed to be the entry level of sort of heads up racing.

great...
thats what I want to run, thats what I wanted to run in the first place.
do they take your quickest pass and dial you a .10 quicker.
thats the way I have ran open comp before.

thanks for the input. thanks very much!
