Just wanted to know if anyone knows what power valve i should run.. I checked my vaccuum and it was like 7-8...so how do u come up with the right number power valve.. thanx..

The power valve should be a value below your lowest idle vacuum reading. 4.5 or 5.5 would do. If your not streeting the car you might want to consider deleting the power valve altogether with a plug. They aren't really necessary if the only positions of your throttle are full open and full closed. John

My car is street driven about 2 times a week.. mostly weekends to the hangout spot.. I think i read an article on your car is it silver.. I think i read it in MM and FF magazine..

If your doing some street driving probably would be better to keep the power valve. They earn their money during part throttle situations, like cruising along, then speeding up to pass someone. The principle behind their operation is at idle and at cruise speed vacuum is high (should be anyway). If you floor it, vacuum drops to very low, even hitting close to zero. When vacuum drops below the rating of the valve, it opens and does its job. You want to install a valve that is a few points below your idle vacuum so it doesn't open during idle flooding the motor.

MM&FF did our car Nov 2001 (light metallic blue). Back then it was a nice practical bracket racer, before we went nuts and started shooting for heads-up racing. LOL. John

ok thanks for the info.. i remember now.. it was light blue.. i have a 1985 mustang.. that is canyon red..
