Bradenton 2009 Roll Call

I know it's a little early, but I'm curious with fuel prices getting better and street cars going faster... Who is planning on coming out to the Bradenton '09 race weekend?

I would like to make my first True Street event but Florida is a haul from the land of cheese.
I have a few changes in the works and hopefully should be able to put up some decent numbers with my little street car.;)

Bradenton is right in my backyard so I will be there. The last time I ran a Mustang in competition was in 1994 at FFW Springbreak held at Bradenton. Mike Murillo towed in from Texas with his Vortex black coupe and qualified #1 running low 10's. I drove my twin turbo 1985 coupe car up from Miami and qualified #2 running high ten's. He kicked my ass and everyone else's that weekend to win.

A few months later my car was featured in Muscle Mustang's magazine and later that month stolen right out of my yard by a local car thief ring that targeted Fox Mustangs. Though I managed to track down and recover a handful of parts, I never saw the car again. I kept all of the recovered parts for 13 years and finally got around to building another 1991 Mustang coupe last year. I was able to use the rearend, rear wheels, intercooler and a handful of other recovered parts on the new car. Now I am ready to have some fun again.

Well that's actually what's confusing me is there no longer t/s or is spring break something just for the bradenton race? Sounds fun and it would be sweet to bring home 2. 6 foot tall trophies lol where to put them would be somthing else :)

Looks like I'll be making the trip back to Bradenton this year, haven't been (with a car) since like 2001. But since my favorite class is back @ Bradenton, I'll be there :)

True street will still be ran on Saturday. the MM&FF Shootout will be run during eliminations on Sunday and will be put in the run order with the other classes

We are looking to bring a few cars down to South Florida from New Orleans to run the SBSO class. We may have as many as 5 cars flying the Outlaw Performance Banner. 2 of the cars looking to go are former True Street Champions (FFW). Looking forward to seeing some old friends and having a real good time..we havent been to Bradenton in a long time... c-ya in a few weeks:D

cage is done, long block is just about finished being assembled, suspension is all here, rear end / Axles will be here by Friday, kenne Bell will be here by Friday as well.

That gives me the long weekend to crunch and all of next week + Monday - Wednesday of the following week. It's gonna happen. no worries. I've got the Blow By Racing boys helping me out with this. I trust everything will be fine!

Just a little ole 76mm. Car will hopefully make around 700 rwhp that's all I'm shooting for. It made 631 rwhp with that turbo/heads on a wore out stock 302 bottom end.

Got the car back from getting the cage done on Feb 9th, dropped the engine/tranny in place on the 23rd. Got done wiring in the Fast XFI and modifying the stock wiring harness and onto the dyno on March 6th. And on March 7 I was able to make the True Street cruise/3 passes and qualify for the SBSO with a best run on 9.91@139 going threw the traps at 250°+ engine temp :eek: Pass before it hit 141 mph, so the power is there just gotta get the bugs worked out.

On a positive note... we did get a new best in the coupe last Saturday while testing out the new suspension and the 275/50 Hoosier Drag Radials! 8.77 @ 154 w/1.43 60'. We only got 2 passes due to us getting to the track late and then the track getting oiled down with someones trans fluid.
