Wow, when I checked out that site they have real nice hoods. But I was amazed that they mentioned a weight savings of only 22 lbs. Heck, I can go on a diet and drop that much in 3 months. Think of all the money I will save on food and the cost of not buying a fiberglass hood!!!!

Yes, but I want the car to look stock - it's a sleeper and I do not want cowls or hood pins.

Pin on hoods are the lightest so use dzus pins to put it on. Its as close to factory looking as you can get. Here's a pic of my hood. Its actually a stock steel hood, pinned on.

Beautiful car. I love that blue. Actually, I'm pretty well schooled in fiberglass hoods and dzus fasteners. Back in 1979 (Yep, I'm an old guy - LOL) I put a fiberglass hood on a V-8 Pinto I built using dzus fasteners. They are a pain to install cleanly but nice once they are done. The location of the dzus fasteners on that car looked exactly like your installation. That car was blue too but it never looked as good as that Mustang you have. I like my current 1991 Mustang original Calypso Green color okay, but I definitely have a preference to that nice blue you have.
