From my understanding the "d" block is a "stock" block...with a safe tune, it'll hold 700 (I was putting roughly 800 on the gas to a stock block)all day long as long RPM's are kept within reason, you don't detonate it, and you have good quality machine work. The only thing to keep an eye on is main cap walk, which the Windsor is known for. I pulled the motor from time to time and had to replace main bearings, but inherently, the Windsor is a solid "stock" block. Peepaw

I'm looking to put a 351w in my '93 Stang I've delt with the 5.0 long enough and it's time for more cubes...I need to know what yr/ vehicle a 351w roller moter was in being that I'm staying EFI and using alot of the parts already on the car, or can any block be used and still use a roller cam/lifter set-up? Any help plz.

The block I have is a late 80's non-roller was told to use retro kit, that way I can reuse cam/lifters and just find pushrods. Asides from a oilpan kit is it nessary to use the swap hedders or no? I'm using GT40P heads/hedder combo.
