Is there any way that NMRA can add Head-Up Index Classes like 7.50 & 6.50.400 Pro Tree races to their event?(Just Wandering)We race at the BG event in the bracket class. Were just looking for a head-up class that base on a level playing field like 7.50 & 6.50 class.

Last year in the pit we seen alot of (True Street)guys go home instead of racing bracket.
I think (NMRA) should try to keep these guys around for some more racing on sunday.
Since true street is divide into difference et range so make them a index class on sunday
give them a reason to stay.I know about the muscle mustang Q/16 what about the other
who don't make the class or don't want to race bracket classes. That where your index class can help you out for those who want to race pro-tree and heads-up.
( For Example:)
Index Classes are 1/8mile races on sunday free to ''True Street Racer''. Other racer must pay to race. (NO BUY BACK)
6.00
6.50
7.00
7.50
The rest are in Bracket Classes.Just my $.02 on index classes

I would also like to see some Index racing, NHRA has made it part of thier bracket series this year, no reason NMRA shouldnt jump on it quick.

There is a local series here that we are trying to get our stuff put together for they run 5.50/6.50/7.50, I went a couple of times to see some of the other guys I race with run, and its just cool.

I hope NMRA would jump on the bangwagon for some Index racing. This would be a way to draw more racer who would like a little Head-Up action that they can afford.Alot of local track around Beech Bend are starting add Index class or already got it for there event. My track just add 2 Index classes to their event for this year and racer are all ready talking about what class they going to run.NMRA that may be something for you to look into down the road since alot of NHRA track are starting to have Index classes.(Money Maker)

Index racing is great, and way better to watch than brackets.

It is easier for a passive observer to understand also.

We have a successful 10.0 and 12.0 class at our local track (US 41).

There are TONS of guys like me out there that have a 10 or 11 sec car but cant afford to race one of the classes.

I think this is a nice idea...and most importantly it is an affordable idea.

If NMRA did have Index racing i guess 1/4mi would be alright it would be more of a race on the top end.The only 1/4mile races that we did were WFC,WSC,and Bracket Finals in Indy.We mostly race 1/8 mile bracket classes.

So NMRA staff what do you think about Index Racing if it was add to an event.

Im up for some index racing but would much rather 1/4 mile. I know a lot of southern tracks run 1/8 mile but east coast is mostly 1/4 mile. I never understood why an entire event was 1/4 mile except for the brackets.
