I have a 2001 Model mustang GT was 4.6l Mod car. Pulled Mod engine and replaced with a 427 Windsor. I'm trying to wire a autometer voltage gauge to read output of my altenator. Can any one help with this ? I cant get it to read the output ,I can however get a system reading.
I also have a question when I run fuel pump, water pump and fan systems droping below 10volts. How can I corrected this to maintain 12volts ?

First of all it should be running atleast 14 volts running not 12

as for the gauge just hook the power and ground up not the sensor wire it wont work

if it is only running at 12 volts your turn on wire for the alternator is not functioning it need a switched 12 volt source here is a schematic of the system you need to either bypass the charge indicator light or run a new turn on wire
