Electrical Problems

Ok I bought an 89 LX turns signals dont work ive replaced the flasher and they still dont work im lost i looked at the wiring diagram and got confused im really lost but inspection is running out on the car i need to know something to do all the emergency flashers work so i know its not the bulbs and the windshield wipers and high beams work so i dont think its the multi purpose switch this website has given me alot of good advice so i figured this would be the place to find out

hey just stumbled across your post. ran across a similar problem on a customers car yesterday. somebody had actually switched the 12v feed wire (orange w/yellow tracer i believe) from the turn signal flasher to the turn signal switch. they had moved it to an empty pin in another connector of the multi-function switch. point being you need to get the schematic and closely trace your wiring to and from the switch to make sure it is all correct. could also be the switch, just because the wipers and highbeams work does not mean the turn signal circuits are working correctly (they are different parts of the switch). hope this helps.

Could be in the turn signal switch itself. They should have a common 12v hot wire. Right now my car is in the chassis shop getting upgraded. I will check my wiring once it returns........
