Just want to give some props to Tom Conrad. After an early exit in open comp (crew chief talked Tom into adjusting the trans brake out to ensure green light after qualifying with a .002). Went exactly what we wanted off the line .034 against a car that went a best of .058 in qualifying...of course we got a .012 dropped on us and even with a dead on run ended up just short. So we ended up foot braking the rest of the day and entered Bracket 3. Anyway long story short Tom cut the tree down the rest of the day and aside from a bye run of 10.89 on a 10.94 ran dead on to 1000' every pass.

Well the title of the thread tells the rest of the story dropped a (little too close to red) .000 in the final and brought home the hardware in our first ever trip to an NMRA event.

Aside from some overzealous local security personnel it was a great weekend and we look forward to Michigan. I... (I mean the crew chief) will leave the trans brake adjusment alone next time.

By the way congratulations to the racer that beat us in the first round on going to the final.
