I always thought the exhaust had to exit behind the drivers door? I know dumping it out the front bumper wont pass inspection in my state!

we dont have any inspections :D. Dumping it out the front would be legal since the rules say nothing about it, but maybe some can confirm this.

I would suggest that you run the exhaust under the car please.

thats the thing, i already ran it out the bumper. I really dont feel like mocking up a special downpipe just for this class :( . That'll be another $500 down the drain

My downpipe dumps right in the front of the car. A street car runs real mufflers. My 5 inch dowpipe splits into dual 3.5 inch exaust that runs through the a arms and to the rear into a two magnaflow mufflers. One of the quietest low 8 second cars you will ever hear.

I'll probably do a single 4" and dump it somewhere. Thanks for the clarification. Maybe you need to add the "exhaust under the car" in the rules.

But it's ok to run dumps off the muffler with everything else in the factory location... correct?

So are mufflers required for t/s even on a turbo car?

Yes Mufflers are required on all combos. A turbo is a power adder not a muffler.

What if you're running a STS rear mount turbo kit????
Those turbo's replace the mufflers

As the rules state. Mufflers are required. It says nothing about were they exit. If the state you live in (and your car is registered in ) allows you to exit your exhaust were ever you like then so be it. We don't have vehicle inspections in Florida, so if you want to exit it out your front end then so be it.
Lets leave the rules alone. It's pretty much an open class and thats what makes it fun.

All I want is a Muffler(s) on the car. I would like for it to be under the car in it's traditional location but if you have to have it coming out of your passenger side mirror go for it. Just make sure it has a muffler(s).
