If we build a truck with stock frame rails, the rules say "Stock type chassis and stock type suspension is required. Coil-over shocks and springs permitted for both front and rear suspension. Shocks and spring may be re-located. Standard bolt-on replacement suspension and chassis components are permitted. Tubular bolt-in front K-members and A-arm kits are permitted. Back-half vehicles are prohibited. Ladder bars and/or aftermarket 4-links are prohibited. Wheelie bars are prohibited."
What type of "stock type suspension can we use if we run coil overs in the rear? Could we run a 4 link fox body type rear suspension? I'd like the project to fit NMCA and NMRA. We can run a ladder bar in NMCA. Why can't both series run the same basic rules then people could help support both series....

The rules for the NMCA are a little less strict. If your truck came with leaf springs you can't convert to to a Mustang suspension (at least in my opinion). I have a friend that has a ranger with coil over rear and Ladder bars and he was told he couldn't run in the nmra. He has ran in the nmca though. I run the full caltrac rear suspension and I love it.
