I'm building my engine and car to the P/S specs. I have read the rules posted on the site here and I do not think I over looked anything. I have a few questions. First, is there a compression ratio limit? I see one can have a minimum of 58cc chamber on a 5.0 head but there's nothing I see in the rules concerning the actual compression ration. Second, fuel type. I see no limitations for using race gas. 3rd thing, why the wieght penalty for having a carburator? Kind of rediculous if you ask me. I see the compression ratio and fuel type as whats making these cars go so fast with a (very trick) .500 lift cam. Am I right?

P/S does require a spec fuel, either VP C10 Unleaded or Mach 100 Unleaded.

The actual compression ratio is not limited, but you are right about the limit on the combustion chamber. There is also a quench rule:

HEAD GASKETS & QUENCH AREA: Total quench dimension (distance between cylinder head & piston) minimum is .035”. Pistons may be below block, even with deck, or above block at top dead center. Any type single head gasket permitted.

I couldn't have said it better myself!
