I ended up selling my Mustang before putting this in the car. Everything except the Moroso electric water pump is brand new. Everything is listed below, can be assembled if wanted. Local pickup/will deliver max distance 100 miles from 46368 (NW Indiana). Email cgs607 at gmail dot com for correspondence. Thanks NMRA!

Dart SHP 4.125" 8.2" deck block
AFR 205s, 58cc chambers, upgraded 8002 springs, Titanium retainers
Erson Cams custom hydraulic roller, 8660 steel core (CMC)
Rollmaster Billet CS3040 timing set
Jesel Sportsman SS Series 1.7 shaft rockers
Moroso electric water pump (lightly used)
Melling Select M1068 oil pump
Cometic 4.155" bore, .036" compressed thickness MLS gasket
King HP series rod and main bearings
Mahle PowerPak 4.125"x1.165" kit (SBF165125F06)
Eagle 4340 3.400" stroke crank
Eagle 4340 5.315" rods
New aluminum timing cover
Parker Funnel Web intake, drilled, tapped, and welded with fuel rails for EFI or carb
Machining and mockup, zero balance rotating assembly to better than 0.13 oz-in on CWT Multi-Bal, deck and square block to 8.180" deck height (zero deck), measure all tolerances and install freeze plugs
Custom crankshaft grinding on lathe to machine counterweights to clear rod/piston combo (reduced weight)
ARP 12-point head studs
ARP stainless header bolts
Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump
Aeromotive A1000 carbureted regulator
Romac 0240/SA neutral balancer
sheetmetal valve covers and original Ford steel core valve cover gaskets
Morel Race Series hydraulic roller lifters, #RS962
Proform Fox-body pan and pickup

You can see from the parts list there is well over $9k invested. The cam was custom spec'd from Steve Tanzi at Erson, specs: 232/240@.050", .618"/.617", 290/298 advertised. Cam was put on Cam Doctor so these are actual specs not just what the cam should look like. With an 820cfm Pro Systems E85 carburetor, Erson conservatively expected 575+HP at the crank with this setup. Help me get this thing moved. $7500 firm, need this gone but won't give it away.

NOT....

As promised delivery was 4 months instead of 6 weeks.

I was told I could pay by credit card, then it had to be cash up front. So I did.

what did I get?

The heads came full of metal shavings, when confromted, "jim" said impossible, he washed them himself. Well I guess Jim Kuntz musta have the same imagination I do, because I have a bill to pay for taking my brand new heads apart and cleaning them..

BUT!! maybe that was a good thing, because they were assembled with the wrong valve locks and retainers, they at least sent some new parts out to KUNTZ.

I was overcharged by $300.00 as well, and I have called every month for a year and have been told at least four times they would run the credit through that day. ... NO CREDIT has ever been given.

All in all, I have no recourse, they were glad to take my money up front send me unusable p[roduct that could have caused catastropic damage to my engine and will LIE to my face and tell me I am wrong as I shake metal filings out of my 13,000 billet heads.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK JON BENNET AND JIM.

I was patient, calm and tried to work things out, this is the result of abusing your customers.

Hello, my name is Greg Woolard and let me start by saying that I am a nobody to the NMRA. I am not some Drag radial or outlaw superstar and I am fine with that, but I have attended or raced in atleast 1 NMRA event each year since 2003. The reason i am so upset stems from the NMRA allowing a car to take the T/S cruise by themselves (not with the group at all) and then allowing that car to return to the pits so they can work on it, and then letting that car to come straight down the staging lanes and on to the track first to make a solo pass. Now before someone jumps in and says that this car wasn't a part of T/S let me say that he had a T/S number, he took some sort of a cruise and he ran with the other T/S cars and was announced as a T/S car so that makes him a part of T/S in my opinion. So I guess if you have a million dollars you can do whatever you want? Does the NMRA think that T/S is a joke? I am sorry but I don't think I can race with an organization that will let people do whatever they want.

I brought 2 cars this year to run in T/S (my car and my wifes car) and we brought 7 people with us for the weekend. We went home wondering if we will ever attend another NMRA event again. I am very sorry for the rant but I had to get it off my chest. Thanks Greg W..

Hi Guys,

I need to remove both trunk hinges on our '93 Mustang Coupe. Long story short.....while rolling off the trailer at home the cars sheet metal wing hit the garage door. Bending up the wing and pushing up the corner of the trunk lid and hitting and shattering the rear glass. Once I got it apart it was evident that the left hinge is compressed.

The hinge is secured by a 5/16" roll pin that is in THE MOST in acessable location I've ever seen. I tried to drill one out at the scrap yard but it is all but impossible to get a drill centered--I struggled with it for an hour there and ended up ruining it--I don't want that to happen on our car. The only thing that I can come up with is to take an angle grinder to the head of the pin "IF" I can get to it. Any tips??

Thanks!!

Selling this "like-new," McLeod twin-disc clutch system for '01-'04 Mustang GTs w/8-bolt (Cobra) crank and T-56 six-speed transmissions (26 spline). This is the McLeod RST unit that was in my wife's '02 GT when it had the iron-block 4.6 in it. The car seriously was driven very, very little while this clutch was installed. My estimate is that it has maybe 1,500 miles on it.

Here are all the pics, including measurements of top and bottom discs. Bottom-dollar price is $600 shipped to anywhere in the US, and that includes the PayPal fee, blah, blah, blah. PLEASE RESPOND BY PM if interested. Thanks.

I have a set of RPM H-Beam Rods for sale. They only have 3 1/8th mile passes on the and dyno time breaking in and tuning my setup. They are 6.125 length with 2.100 journals and .927 wrist pins. They come with ARP2000 bolts. A rep from RPM told me these rods were rated for 1200hp, but I'm planning on turning up the boost and pushing try and make 1400-1600hp so I would rather go ahead and upgrade rods now then take a chance and something let go inside my motor and cause a problem later on. I only made 870hp to the wheels and decided to go ahead and pull them out. These rods are not hurt at all and haven't been used to their fullest potential yet. I'm asking $325 plus shipping. I will have pictures posted on wednesday. If interested give me a call at 863-370-8693, PM Me or email me at Turbogt42@aol.com

The way it looks now there is gonna be two or three cars at BG which is a shame. I was just reading the post on the RS forums and it looks bad for them too. We all know that if the p/rods got some help they would show up, but I'm not talking about that, I wanna know what you guys think we need to do for the future. How can we get 10-16 car fields like the good old days. Do we have to drastically slow the class down? Putting tons of weight on everybody is just gonna break more stuff, on the other hand, leaving weight alone and changing engine rules to slow all combos down is impossible for guys and gals that are so heavily involved already. I don't know the financial side of NMRA but it has been ten years now and we still have the same purse?
This is not a post for us to argue about the rules now, we all know where they should be, this is just wandering how we can keep heads up racing alive, cause it's looking real bad.

Hi all, my name is Sean Murray, located in Jackson , NJ. I was invited to the event as crew for Matt Williams who is a new racer in ACT Factory Stock. Ive been to drag events before as a spectator and didnt know quite what to expect behind the scenes. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and receptive everyone was, I dont think I have ever met a nicer bunch of people. I got to meet a lot of great people including names I have only read about in the past. I realized the name of the game is "hurry up and wait", other than that I had a great time. I congratulate all racers on their victories. I look forward to learning as much as I can and trying to make as many events as I can. Maybe some day I can try and participate as well.

Thanks

Hi everyone After figuring out my computer went bad and cross threading a spark plug. I pulled the head off had the hole fixed and put the motor back together. I had set the valves having Compression when turning the motor over by hand. Set everything and ran the car. I changed the oil and ran the car again. I had a friend come over and we adjusted the other side of motor valves Because they were making noise.

So we went back to the otherside to readjust them (they made a little Bit of noise). But as we were truning the motor over we notice that we couldn't get any compression. We had it in the first hole But nothing in the 2nd or 3rd holes. We went back to the first hole and No compression.

So I broke out a compression tester. Drivers side had 150 as test. Went to passenger side of the motor and Had 0 0 0 on 1,2,3. I didn't do a leak down test. Just crank the motor over with the starter.

What do you guys think Bad gasket? I can't see screwing up all the rings on just 1 side of a motor. When I pulled the head back off the Whole gasket was wet. Even places that it should not have been. When I did the torque specs I use the factory specs. Any problem with that Or do the MLS gasket and arp studs require more torque?
The blessing of great weather and a hooking track were the scene in Hebron, Ohio, the weekend of September 3-5, 2010. The NMRA brought its traveling Ford Nationals series to the Ohio countryside and put on a great show with quick elapsed times and heated points battles between the top competitors in each class.

In the Turbonetics Pro Outlaw 10.5 class, Conrad Scarry clicked off a 6.733 at over 214 MPH to take the top qualified spot. When eliminations commenced, Jim Brown took out Mike Murillo when Murillo couldn’t get his big-block turbo machine to stage properly, setting up the final round between Brown and Scarry. Scarry got loose, crossed the centerline, and Brown scored his first win of the season on his quicket pass ever, a 7.08 at over 192 MPH.

Sammy Vincent continued his assault on the ProCharger Super Street Outlaw record books, qualifying with an awesome 7.277 in his nitrous-assisted machine. Eliminations had Phil Hines removing heavy-hitter John Macdonald when Macdonald got loose into the wall through the traps, while Vincent faced off against five-time champ John Urist and took the win when Urist’s machine ate itself at the 660. The finals saw Hines upset Vincent when Vincent’s engine expired at the 1000’ mark.

DiabloSport’s EFI Renegade class had Brian Mitchell earning the top spot on the ladder by running an 8.44 during Saturday’s sessions. Once eliminations began, Chris Van Gilder overcame a burnt piston from Friday to make his way to the finals over Chad Allmandinger, while Bob Cook came around Mitchell at the stripe in the other pairing to make it to the finals. Cook turned on the win light with a stout 8.45 over Van Gilder’s 8.55.

The all-motor Edelbrock Hot Street class had Charlie Booze’s Freight Train ’92 Mustang in the top spot on the ladder with a strong 8.51 at the end of Saturday’s sessions. During eliminations, Booze chugged through the competition to meet up with Robbie Blankenship in the finals. There, Blankenship redlit his chances away with a .004 red bulb.

2009 class Champion Jason Lee continues to dominate in the BFGoodrich Tires Drag Radial class, topping the ladder with an 8.10 at nearly 177 MPH. In eliminations, Lee’s first-round opponent was broken, sending him to the finals against Enzo Pecchini in a battle of last year’s top two points finishers. There, Lee earned the win, holding onto his points lead.

Nitrous loves cool weather, and this weekend was no exception in the Steeda Real Street class, presented by 5.0 Mustang Magazine. Bruce Hemminger’s machine responded with the quickest times ever seen in the class, as his 9.31 easily eclipsed the class record on Saturday. Eliminations had Matherly putting his car on the bumper to take out Eric Tate in the semi, while Hemminger had a bye to the final. In that race, Hemminger ran the quickest pass ever in the class with a 9.28 to take the win.

Shawn Johnson continues to drive Jim St. Charles’ record-setting Eibach Springs Pure Street ride, clicking off a 10.12 to achieve the top qualifying position over Brandon Alsept. The elimination rounds had Johnson taking out Steve Gifford while Alsept took the bye, setting up the finals. Side-by-side wheelstands on the launch turned into Johnson ahead at the finish line.

In the ACT Factory Stock class, Tommy Godfrey arrived on Saturday morning, shifting his copper ’89 Mustang into the number-one spot with an 11.16. In eliminations, Matt Amrine put an awesome 11.09 on the board to eliminate Godfrey and move to the final, while Carlos Sobrino made it to the final through Jay Dold. There, Sobrino lit the red bulb, handing away the victory to Amrine.

In Exedy Clutch Modular Muscle class, Canada’s Randy Mounce hit the tree with a .007 reaction time to lead the field into eliminations. There, Donnie Bowles and Russ Gabbard beat out the competition to face off in the finals, where Gabbard turned on the red bulb to hand Bowles his second win in as many weeks.

Points leader Johnny Lightning put an .028 reaction time on the board to take the Detroit Locker Truck and Lightning competitors into the elimination sessions on Sunday. Gerry Van Veen met up with Gary Windsor in the final, where Windsor earned the win with a .006 MOV.

Trick Flow Open Comp saw Terry Haynal score a perfect .000 reaction time during qualifying. As eliminations progressed, Jon M. Pickering took out Larry Geddes, while Don Carver took the stripe against son Brent Carver on his way to the final. Pickering took the stripe over Don Carver for the win.

The unique JDM Engineering Super Stang class drew out the coolest in ’05-newer Mustang machines, and 2009 Champion Chris Parisi faced off against Shannon Papier in the finals. There, Papier earned the first-ever female Super Stang win.

Love the NMRA and have been racing here and there with them since 2003. Why is it that the NMRA doesn't want BBF's in any classes but SSO, 10.5, and OC? This is a Mustang all series, but all they seem to want really is sbf stuff. I mean really, how many BBF combos are even left in the big do classes?
I understand that there is the NMCA and that they allow BBF stuff in some of there classes, but why does the Premier Mustang Series in the history of Drag Racing not allow them?
Not looking for bashing. Looking for ligitimate answers to this question. Any opinions or insite would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
