Re: Atco roll call

Ill be there. Just went to the dyno on saturday! That was only 21 degrees of timing and there is a ton more left in the turbo

Went to Fonse performance in NJ yesterday to shake down the car. Great bunch of guys over there :2thumbs: They do alot of race car stuff there, the most they have ever seen on there known low number producing dyno was 1040rwhp. Well i put 26 lbs of boost to it and 21 degrees of timing (pulling 15 from 36 total) and the car made 1224 rwhp with a/f of around 11.8:1. This was on c16, didnt have any time to try the Q16 i had with me or add any more timing or boost. I was happy with the numbers on a mustang dyno and that should put the car well into the 7's if i can get it hooked up. Car went almost 170mph last time out with only 18 lbs of boost @ 3570lbs. I am expecting the car to be a little lighter and be able to leave much harder with the new 315's!! I think we are looking at 185+mph trap speeds once the chassis is sorted out

Here's a quick video

8.17 first pass off the trailer in two years with an .020 light! Look out next week

Full report.....

Well made the first pass down the track in close to two years. Just a shakedown pass to make sure it was going straight on about 16 lbs of boost which should be nothing for this turbo.

.020 light
1.337 60'
3.487 330'
5.294 1/8
136.07 mph
6.852 1000
8.175 1/4
169.85 mph

Then next pass no boost. Thought i had screwed something up in the AMS 1000 controller. Nope, then i think the wastegates are stuck open somehow....Nope. Spin the turbo, and the shaft is all wobly. Turbo is shot, going back to precision on Monday. Car weighed 3460 with me in it this year after the 25.5. Car WILL be at NMRA truestreet next week at atco with a borrowed 106. Shooting for a 7 second average! For some reason I have had problems with this damn 101 since ive had it. My 91 never had an issue... Qualified 2nd out of 8 radial cars. Would have been an easy 7 second run if the turbo didnt take a ****. Oh well, there's always next week i guess.
