Is Pro 5.0 Gone?!!

I may be missing something, but the rules show Pro 10.5W but no Pro 5.0? Did the NMRA pull the trigger on killing this class?

Lack of participation killed the class. It's impossible to sustain a class with a payout as large as Pro 5.0 had with only three or four cars showing up.

From what I understand, all of the competitors will be able to merge seamlessly into NMCA Pro Street.

So are they gonna increase the pay out in other classes now? Or contingency since the biggest payout class is gone?

I would think the payout would go to Pro 10.5W. Also, Diablo's sponsorship was probably up.

If the NMCA does not sit down and think about the opportunity to allow all the NSCA and NMRA pro street or pro 5.0 cars in they are making a huge mistake. They said if they get low car counts for 2008 they will not have the class for 2009. This is there best opportunity to have more cars come and run, I hope they acomodate all the rules so that every car from the NSCA and NMRA can come out and help the pro street class over at the NMCA.
