Laugh now, Andy, but, sometimes you actually can get that kind of luck at PRI...if you work it right. I've been going to the show for a lot of years now. Yeah, I'm on a different side of the game now than I was back when the deal was in Indy, but, I've been fortunate enough to deal with companies in the past that would score me the "deep deals" and gave me "authorized" status for selling their products, without having to cut them a check for seventy-quatrillion-dollars worth of merchandise "to get things going." It helped me build great relationships and friendships with cats from all over the industry, long before I ended up in the position I'm in now.

It's kind'a like getting that lucky, random receipt in Starbucks that entitles you to a free Super Vente Frappe Mocha Al Fresca Latte Macchiato. You never know what the manufacturer's rep that you're talking to is really gonna say.

Good luck, bro. I've been down the same road. Sometimes you gotta buy up front...and sometimes you don't. For real!

Going to Bradenton to cover the Snowbird Nationals, then hanging out until PRI. We'll be filming and hanging out at the RPM Magazine booth.
