35-spline S-Trac for 8.8-inch Ford Rearend from Strange Engineering

Posted By: Scott Sparrow
There is little question that the Ford 8.8-inch housing is capable of handling large amounts of horsepower when assembled with the correct parts. Strange Engineering is taking things to the next level with the introduction of the 35-spline S-Trac differential. The torque biasing S-Trac is purely mechanical which eliminates the need for clutches. It provides quiet operation while maximizing tire traction and vehicle acceleration. The foundation of the S-Trac is the heat treated forged 8620 case that creates a light, durable, and rigid unit. The helical cut gears are manufactured from 9310 steel, heat treated and coated with a dry film solid lubricant providing exceptional strength and minimizes wear. The seamless operation of the Strange S-Trac makes it ideal for street, strip, road racing and autocross. This premium unit includes Timken carrier bearings with races, side shims, and a lifetime replacement warranty to the original purchaser.
