Baer Brake Systems is helping the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals celebrate the 26th running of the Ace Racing Spring Break Shootout by adding a bonus to the winner’s purse. The popular high-performance brake company is tossing the winner a Deep Stage Drag Racing Brake System kit that is valued at around $1,000. This means the winner of the Quick-16 heads-up shootout on Sunday could be celebrating in the Winner’s Circle with an Edelbrock Victor award and $1,800 in cash and prizes.
“We’re grateful for Baer Brake Systems’ continued support of the NMRA racers with this generous contribution. They’re passionate about QA1 True Street and the Ace Racing Spring Break Shootout and this proves it,” said Steve Wolcott, Co-Founder of NMRA Ford Nationals.
The Ace Racing Spring Break Shootout is part of the NMRA season opening event of the same name, the NMRA Spring Break Shootout at Bradenton Motorsports Park. The event is a time-honored tradition bringing some of the coolest Fords and Mustangs off the streets and into a national event.
The Spring Break Shootout is a heads-up class that is created through the QA1 True Street field as race officials select the quickest 16 cars from the final True Street results to run heads-up on Sunday to see who has the baddest street car of the event. It all concludes by Sunday afternoon when the champion of the Spring Break Shootout and the other class winners celebrate in the Winner’s Circle with a formal presentation of cash, prizes, and the prestigious Edelbrock Victor award.
