The excitement is undeniable as NMRA and NMCA racers return to action at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, for the 12th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals. Such was the pent up excitement the huge line of racers yesterday inspired the early opening of the gates. Today things get underway with three rounds of time trial sessions as competitors dial in their combinations after the long layoff. Here's a look at how the action will unfold today at the 12th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia.

Dom DiDonato rolls into the the 12th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center All-Star Nationals fresh off strong runs at Woostock. His turbocharged, modular-powered Shelby GT500 is running the same combo his team honed for the past several years. They strapped new tires on the C&D Auto Tech-backed machine in anticipation of making hits tomorrow in VP Racing Madditives Street Outlaw.

While Chris Holbrook didn't have a lot to improve upon after at stellar Holley EFI Factory Super Cars showing in Bradenton. That said, with a little extra down time, he was able to apply some engine techniques tested on customer engines. Combined with new gear ratios, the tweaked combo has a few test hits, but it will be interesting to see how well it runs this weekend at the 12th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center All-Star Nationals.

Tony Hobson's new Racecraft Inc.-built Mustang is making its competition debut this weekend. Hobson stuffed the DiSomma Racing Engines small-block Ford in the car with help from his co-workers at HPJ Performance and should be turning up the boost on his ProCharger for VP Racing Madditives Street Outlaw competition this weekend at Atlanta Dragway. After getting some successful testing done in April, Alton Clements is looking forward to racing this weekend at Atlanta Dragway for the Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA / NMCA All-Star Nationals with his Vortech Superchargers-powered, DiSomma Racing Engines outfitted Fox-Body Mustang. To prep for VP Racing Fuels Madditives Street Outlaw at Atlanta Dragway this weekend, Joel Greathouse's team changed up the rearend and the first gear in the transmission. With only one test pass at his home track, Beech Bend Raceway, they headed for the 12th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals to put the new setup to the test in competition.' Drew Lyons went back to the future in his NMRA G-Force Transmissions Coyote Stock machine. After looking over a few things, he addressed some clutch issues by returning to one of his successful setups from last season. He is looking to find any advantage to keep pace in the hyper-competitive class this weekend at the 12th Annual Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals.
