2017 NMRA Preliminary Rules Are Posted

Posted By: Mike Galimi
The 2017 Preliminary Rules have been posted <<HERE>> Thank You to NMRA racers and sponsors who have submitted rule requests for the 2017 season. The NMRA Tech committee has reviewed hundreds of requests and addressed many concerns coming out of the 2016 racing season. As one can imagine it is a daunting task to balance all of the racing categories and your input is greatly appreciated. We would like to remind racers that these are still considered preliminary rules and we value more input. Please present your rule suggestions to the NMRA Tech committee no later than November 15, 2016 [email protected] There will be a new heads-up category added in 2017 dubbed Modular Xtreme and it is designed to let Modular-powered cars/trucks run all-out. Rules are posted and the limited schedule will be released at a later date. For 2018, NMRA is working on a new heads-up category that will feature a limited power adder. The goal for the class is high 8s/low 9s to create class for street car racers to run heads-up. The challenge is creating a class that achieves that goal but without a 400-page rules package. Look for more information to be released in the coming months and a full rules package before Summer 2017.
