Eaton to serve as exclusive differential supplier for Gateway Bronco’s reimagined vintage Ford® Bronco

Posted By: Ainsley Jacobs
Intelligent power management company Eaton today announced it is continuing its partnership as the exclusive differential supplier to Gateway Bronco, a Hamel, Illinois-based business that reimagines first-generation Ford® Broncos and Ford® trucks.

“We’re honored to be Gateway Bronco’s exclusive supplier of differentials, which are used on its world-class Ford® Bronco resto-mods and restorations,” said Tim Bauer, vice president, Aftermarket, Eaton’s Vehicle Group North America. “Gateway Bronco prides itself on using only the best materials and components available, which is a testament to the quality of Eaton’s differentials.”

Gateway Bronco craftsmen build and restore classic Ford® Broncos in the company’s 60,000-sq.-ft. factory in Hamel, with all production done in-house.

“We are committed to building the most refined Ford® Broncos and trucks in the industry,” said Seth Burgett, CEO of Gateway Bronco. “To reimagine these first-generation vehicles, we collaborate with the best and most reliable companies in the industry, such as Eaton. From the Italian leather interior to the supercharged V8, push-button active ride suspension and Eaton differentials, each vehicle built at Gateway Bronco is designed to be the pinnacle of handcrafted automotive art.”

Gateway Bronco exclusively uses Eaton differentials in each of its builds, providing its buyers with the highest-quality components for outstanding performance. Gateway offers Eaton’s Detroit Truetrac® front and rear differentials as standard equipment on its restored Broncos, with Eaton’s ELocker® as an optional upgrade.

Eaton first teamed up with Gateway Bronco in 2019 at the SEMA Show for a resto-mod Bronco. Eaton hosted a press conference with Seth Burgett and NASCAR driver Ryan Blaney to debut a 1974 Bronco restored in memory of Blaney’s grandfather, Lou Blaney, who passed from Alzheimer’s disease. The Ford® featured an Eaton ELocker front differential and Eaton Detroit Truetrac rear differential, as well as a Harrop USA supercharger with Eaton Twin Vortices Series (TVS®) 2650 technology. The reimagined SUV set a world record for the sale of a first-generation Ford Bronco when it sold for $650,000 at Barret-Jackson in 2020.

The Eaton and Gateway Bronco collaboration has continued annually with this year’s SEMA show featuring a restored 1968 Ford Bronco with Eaton’s Detroit Truetrac differentials front and rear, and a Roush supercharger with Eaton’s TVS® 2650 technology. That Bronco was the grand prize of a sweepstakes that benefited the Special Operators Transition Foundation (SOTF), a non-profit organization committed to helping Special Operations Forces transition from military service into their next career. Eaton was a sponsor of the giveaway through its partnership with Gateway Bronco.

Gateway Bronco has been breathing new life into reimagined Ford® Broncos since 2016. The company is now also offering Resto-Mod classic Ford® F-Series trucks. Inspired by Henry Ford, the company’s assembly line provides over 300 individual quality and safety checks serving as the foundation for Gateway Bronco’s industry leading bumper-to-bumper warranties ranging from 3 to 7 years. Each vehicle is engineered to perform like a modern vehicle using proprietary and patented solutions exclusive to Gateway Bronco.
