Ford Performance Cobra Jet Intake Is Back
Ford Performance recently showed the world its new Coyote-based Cobra Jet intake manifold. According to Mark Wilson of Ford Performance, the old CJ intake has been out of production so it was updated with a new version.
Used on the 2013 and 2014 naturally aspirated Cobra Jet Mustangs, the intake was a composite tunnel-ram style unit with a large oval throttle body opening. It was also sold for aftermarket applications through Ford Performance and select dealers.
The new intake, which will be available in a few months, was upgraded in the plenum area and with a new dual throttle-bore opening, designed to increase throttle response. Look for more information on the FP CJ intake soon.
