King of the Hill Specialty Mustangs Face-off, Who Will Win Terminator, Shelby GT500, or Turbo Coyote

Posted By: Mike Galimi
It was just a three short years ago when Justin Burcham and Frank Yee lined up against each other to close out the 2014 Nitto Tire NMRA All-Ford World Finals. Both racers stood on top of their respective categories, Burcham won the Hellion Turbo Coyote Shootout, while Yee was the victor in VMP Performance Terminator vs. GT500 Shootout. They put on a memorable show for the fans as Yee returned to Las Vegas with the grudge race win. There has always been the banter and what-if scenario since that dramatic finale to the 2014 racing season. Last year, the NMRA Grudge Night at Spring Break Shootout tickled the idea of pairing the classes again with the top two qualifiers from each cateogry racing each other on Saturday night. Again, the drama followed on-track with Ronnie Reynolds of JPC Racing losing to the sick GT500 of Brian Devilbiss from Evolution Performance. This year, the itch is being scratched--King of the Hill combines the baddest cars from Terminator vs. GT500 and Turbo Coyote and they will run heads-up. All of the 7-second capable machines, of which we hear there will be plenty of them, will be pulled out of their classes and inserted into the King of the Hill shootout. It won't be a one-race runoff like the previous two showdowns, but rather a fight to the finish with prize money, a party in the Aerospace Components Winner's Circle, and an NMRA/Edelbrock Victor Trophy hanging in the balance.
