The buzz surrounding the hottest new class at the Nitto Tire NMRA World Finals at Beech Bend Raceway is reaching new heights. Grudge Night allows any Ford-bodied or Ford-powered vehicle, meaning the Outlaw True Street shootout is open to the popular LS-powered Mustangs that lurk in the underworld of street racing. In just days of announcing the class, the trash talking has reached new heights and upping the ante is Lil John's Motorsports Solutions as they are betting big that an LS-powered ride will prevail in the competition. Lil John's Motorsports Solutions will throw another $500 on top of the $2500-to-win prize if the winning vehicle relies on an LS engine to power it into the Aerospace Components Winner's Circle. That puts the potential winnings at $3,000 for a one-night race, going down on Saturday, October 1, at the NMRA World Finals during its popular Grudge Night. Given their popularity and performance potential, it's a great thing to see NMRA welcome LS-swapped cars in what I feel is the best format of a True Street race to date, said John Bewley of Lil John's Motorsports Solutions. The ididit Outlaw True Street class is an eighth-mile competition that is run with the clocks off and all racecars are required to make a 30-mile road tour. The pairings will be random as competitors will draw names out of a hat in the staging lanes to determine their next round opponent. More information can be found <<HERE>> And the official announcement <<HERE>> Bewley said in closing, I am excited and proud to add a $500 bonus pot for this event and I hope this is just the beginning for these types of races!
