Maximum Motorsports All-Ford Autocross Joins NMRA’s Homecoming
As NMRA’s silver-anniversary season reaches its midpoint, there won’t just be straight-line action on the drag strip during the 3rd Annual Mickey Thompson NMRA Ford Homecoming. This year’s event — held from June 9-11 at Summit Motorsports Park — will also feature the Maximum Motorsports All-Ford Autocross for participants who want to combine speed with braking and turning corners.
“Celebrating 25 years, our NMRA Ford Homecoming keeps adding special features like the All-Ford Autocross,” said Steve Wolcott, NMRA co-founder and CEO. “It’s fitting that Maximum Motorsports is a major sponsor of the Homecoming because they’ve been with NMRA since 1999 as a big part of the drag racing, and now it's hosting the All-Ford Autocross.”
With partners AutoXperts and Gateway Classic Mustang operating the Autocross, Ford fans will be able to make fun runs and enjoy cornering and handling at the Norwalk event. Open to all Fords — including Fiesta, Focus, Mustang, and more — the Autocross will run from Friday through Sunday. Autocross tickets are available separately or available for purchase at the event for participants in the Saleen, SVT, and Fox Body Reunions and overall NMRA car show.
Along with the autocross, fans can enjoy other features at the NMRA Ford Homecoming, including the awesome UPR Products Car Show. Additionally, NMRA will host a range of events within the event, including the Anderson Composites Off-Road Alley, the 40th Saleen Reunion, the 2020+ GT500 Shootout, the Edelbrock NMRA Racers Reunion, the 30th SVTperformance.com Reunion, the Harland Sharp Fox Body Reunion presented by Foxy Events, and the TascaParts.com Cobra Jet Reunion.
