New Product Racetech USA 4100HR Racing Seat

Posted By: Mike Galimi
Today's drag race vehicle interiors are getting more complicated as safety continues to evolve as cars get quicker and faster. Any serious small-tire or Pro Modified racecar features either an SFI style cage design, which includes a funny car hoop with accompanying bars to create a cocoon around the driver for maximum protection in a roll-over situation. Racetech has been a standard seat in many high-level Pro Mod builds and its technology and safety has been trickling down into the small-tire world in the past few years. The seats are comfortable and more importantly, they offer a level safety from head and body protection along with fireproof materials in most materials. Racetach recently introduced the 4100HR series racing seat and it is designed to be lightweight at just 11.8 pounds and also easily fit inside the 25-series SFI roll cages. Here is their description on the product from the new addition to Racetech's webstore.
The RT4100HR is a standard-sized fiberglass race seat equipped with head restraint wings for enhanced safety. We have focused on achieving a lightweight seat shell with optimized geometry, straddling that line between designing the seat to be wide enough in the shoulders to suit the athletic build, but narrow enough to fit in most cockpits. Our patented back-mounted technology has trickled down from the 119 and 129 Series, giving you the option of fixing the seat to the rollcage at shoulder level. Large harness guides and a removable molded base cushion allow a range of drivers of varying heights to fit. Breathable Spacer fabric, parallel sides and pronounced thigh support round off the features of this accomplished motorsport seat. For the larger driver, the RT4100WTHR is 60mm taller and 40mm wider and for those wanting a seat without head restraints, our RT4100 and RT4100WT complete the 4100 Series.
