Nitto Tire is continuing its generous bonus program for its NT555RII drag radials in 2022 for the highly popular TorqStorm Superchargers True Street category. The Nitto crew will boost the purse to $1,000 for the winners of the 15-second, 14-second, 13-second, 12-second, 11-second, 10-second, and 9-second time zone winners all season long at every Holley NMRA Ford Nationals event in 2022.
The program began in 2020 as way to celebrate the release of Nitto's NT555RII drag radial and since then, Nitto has paid the $1,000 bonus to nearly 30 racers. The NT555RII drag radial was released as a better design to its popular and successful drag radial program and exceeds dry performance, wet traction, comfort, and quietness over the NT05R while still maintaining a 100 UTQG treadwear rating. Nitto engineers accomplished this task through a drag race compound, reconfigured sidewall, and tread design.
