NMRA & NMCA Racers Run For The Rings in Testo Super Bowl Shootouts
Each year racers from the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and Red Line Oil NMCA Muscle Car Nationals join forces for an epic event. This year’s 18th Annual NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Muscle Car Drag Racing brings back the fabled Super Bowl Shootouts with a new twist and backing from portable test and measurement instrumentation specialists, Testo.

This year there’s a fresh twist on the competition. The #1 qualifier in each class will clash with the current #1 in points to battle for cash, bragging rights, and an exclusive Nitto Diamond Tree ring. Of course, if the #1 qualifier is also first in points, the #2 points earner will race against them and down the line as required for a pairing.
“From the beginning, our Super Bowl events have been special. Bringing NMRA and NMCA together is like a shot of nitrous that revs up the excitement for racers in both series,” Steve Wolcott, President and CEO of NMRA & NMCA, said. “This year we we’re adding a new element that not only makes it more fun for the fans, but more competitive and exciting for the racers.”
These shootouts will run on Saturday, May 6 at approximately 2 p.m. so the whole crowd can head for the stands and pull for their favorite drivers. The Testo Super Bowl Shootouts are open to all championship classes, which means there will be 23 races for big money, rings and national bragging rights.
