Racers Continue To Collect Nitto Bounty Cash At NMRA/NMCA Events

Posted By: Steve Baur
Now into the fourth races of both the NMRA and NMCA drag racing series, the Nitto Tire NT555RII bounty has paid out at every event, and the most recent trip to Martin, Michigan and US 131 Motorsports Park for the Arrington Performance NMRA/NMCA All-American Nationals presented by Force Engineering saw several winners collect cash from Nitto. Cruising through the TorqStorm Superchargers True Street category, Bob Hoffman and his 87 Buick Grand National brought home $1,000 in cash for winning the 11-second award. Bob's bad-in-black Buick ran a 3-pass average of 11.061 to bring home the bounty. Just as quick, Jim Burr brought home $1,000 in cash for winning the 11-second award in the Dodge // Mopar HEMI Shootout at the NMRA/NMCA All-American Nationals with all-new NT555RII drag radials. Jim's 2016 SRT Hellcat Charger ran a 3-pass average of 11.022 to bring home the bounty. Jeff Smith has been collecting Dodge // Mopar HEMI Shootout wins since debuting his Dodge Challenger 1320 last year, and at this event, he also brought home $1,000 in cash for winning the 12-second award in Dodge // Mopar HEMI Shootout. Jeff's 2019 Challenger 1320 ran a 3-pass average of 12.038 to bring home the bounty. No stranger to collecting Nitto Bounty money, Alan Scanlan once again went home with a big payday after averaging 13.02 in his Dodge Challenger for the 13-second Dodge // Mopar HEMI Shootout win. And rounding out this weekend's bounty hunters is Norm Jensen, who drove his eye-searing Green, 2017 Camaro to the runner up spot in the Chevrolet Performance Street Car Challenge. Jensen averaged 10.42 second over three runs, on Nitto NT555RII tires, of course.
