One of the many fun parts about attending NMRA events is hitting the manufacturer’s midway. This offers fanatics a first-hand look at all the great products available to Ford and Mustang owners. On our recent trip to the 24th Annual Whipple Superchargers NMRA All-Ford World Finals presented by Competition Clutch & Holley Intergalactic Ford Festival in Bowling Green, KY, we spotted something new and very exciting in the Ridetech booth.

On display was an in-progress Foxbody Mustang build with incredible detail and amazing parts. Sitting pretty in the engine bay was a wicked Windsor with NASCAR D3 “Yates” cylinder heads and stack IR fuel injection, but the big news was the yet-to-be released bolt-in front SLA (Short/Long Arm) suspension kit with a bolt-in rear multi-link setup for 1979-1993 Fox Mustangs and Capris. The front suspension eliminates the use of the shock towers and can be used with factory or aftermarket “tubular” K-members.

The Ridetech kit is designed to improve suspension geometry and improve tunability and handling and it can be used with conventional coil-over shocks or with air suspension. It also includes adjustable anti-roll bars and a new design for the rear. The fit and finish of the components is as nice as you’ll find, and clearly this is a setup that’s ready for the drag racing, road racing, street or the show arena.

Ridetech’s Mustang featured a beautifully welded cage, Wilwood brakes, a manual transmission and we spotted a dry-sump tank, so this is indeed a serious build. We also spied a 1985-86 dash and we hear Ridetech is keeping with the four-eyed theme. Ridetech offers a complete line of suspension solutions for classic muscle cars, trucks, modern muscle cars, plus street rods, customs and a few others as well. Stay tuned to NMRAdigital.com for more on this incredible build or head to ridetech.com for more information.
