On, April 21st, 2022, the Scoggin Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals presented by MAHLE Motorsport comes to Rockingham, North Carolina for the first time, bringing the quickest and fastest speed machines to the famed quarter-mile track that is Rockingham Dragway.
Constructed during the heyday of muscle cars, Rockingham Dragway was built in 1969 and opened in 1970 thanks to the efforts of Bill Land and L.G. DeWitt. While facility’s ownership has changed hands twice since then, the venue has continually operated and hosted the biggest events from the NHRA, AHRA, IHRA, Super Chevy Show, Holcomb Motorsports Civil Wars, ADRL and more.
"While we are disappointed to lose the Atlanta Dragway stop on our tour, we are really excited to move into a new market as the Scoggin Dickey Parts Center NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals Presented by MAHLE Motorsport has a new home at Rockingham Dragway. The Rock is a legend in the drag racing community with some high-power events over the last 40 years, and now we can add the excitement of the NMRA and NMCA series to its legend and lore," said Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director at ProMedia Events & Publishing, the parent company of the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals and Red Line Oil NMCA Muscle Car Nationals.
When the NMRA and NMCA roll into Rockingham, the two series will bring in the best in Ford drag racing, as well as hundreds of muscle cars—old and new—Nostalgia Super Stocks, Factory Super Cars, Xtreme Pro Mods and more. The combined TorqStorm Superchargers True Street category will show just what the locals can do with their own machines, while the NMRA and NMCA championship contenders vie for valuable points.
