Sealed Stock All-Star Showdown Set For NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals in Rockingham
Santa Ana, California (December 12, 2022) - NMRA and NMCA are pleased to announce the 7th Annual Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales Sealed Stock All-Star Showdown, a special race between select Coyote Stock and Chevrolet Performance Stock competitors during the Rockingham, North Carolina, event at Rockingham Dragway, over the weekend of April 13-16, 2023. Billed as the NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals, it’s one of only three races where fans can witness the spectacle of both NMRA and NMCA racing on the same weekend.
NMRA G-Force Racing Transmissions Coyote Stock and NMCA Chevrolet Performance Stock Racers will compete for major bragging rights and a trip to the Winner’s Circle where the winner will be presented with the Manufacturer’s Cup and $1,000 cash.
The Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales Sealed Stock All-Star Showdown teams will be selected according to the following from each series:
· The 2022 Champions from CS and CPS will be the #1 seeds (if the champion is not at the event, the highest finisher in 2022 points present at the event will assume the number-one seed)
· The top five in 2022 points and 2023 points to date combined racing in CS or CPS at the event will be the #2 through #6 seeds.
· One wild card racer whose name will be drawn during a driver’s meeting before the first qualifying round on Friday and will take the #7 spot on the ladder.
· One Blocker is selected by the champion of each series racing in CS or CPS at the event
(Blockers name must be made known at the drivers meeting Friday morning) and will take the #8 spot on the ladder.
Ladder for Eliminations:
Lane choice in the first round will be decided by a coin flip in the staging lanes with the higher seed in each pair calling it. The winner gets lane choice. Second and all additional rounds, lane choice will be decided by the fastest speed in the previous round for each pair.
Rules: All NMRA Coyote Stock and/or NMCA Chevrolet Performance Stock rules apply. The first two rounds of this All-Star Showdown will also count as qualifying runs for the NMRA/NMCA All-Star Nationals event. Car and driver are subject to ECU Tune Verification, weight, and fuel check before and after each round.
