With the Mid-Season rule adjustments becoming effective as of June 1, 2021, some adjustments have been made to how the NMRA heads-up classes will complete the St. Louis elimination rounds during the next event, the NMRA Ford Performance Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park, June 10-13, 2021. The NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street-Legal Drag Racing final-round participants (Edelbrock Renegade, JDM Engineering Limited Street, G-Force Racing Transmissions Coyote Stock, and Richmond Gear Factory Stock) will complete their eliminations in a special round on Friday night after Q1 and Q2 in Ohio (weather permitting). For Renegade, Limited Street, and Factory Stock?the incomplete finals will run under the previous rules. There are 6 finalists in those classes and there is only ONE racer who has a very minor weight adjustment at mid-season. Ohio qualifying and eliminations will run under the adjusted rules. Coyote Stock will race its final round under the ADJUSTED rules, which includes the addition of an OEM or electric water pump.
