Some say the best cure for a hangover is the smell of fresh burning rubber and racing fuel so cruise over to Bradenton Motorsports Park the following day to watch qualifying in the NMRA Keystone Drag Racing Series, which includes 2,000+ hp turbo, blower, and nitrous-gulping Mustangs in the VP Racing Fuels Street Outlaw ranks along with all the other heads-up and index-based categories that make up the largest all-Ford drag racing series in the world. Saturday action also includes the popular QA1 True Street category, presented by Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords magazine. Watch over 150 Mustangs and Fords take to the streets for a 30-mile cruise and then battle it out in three consecutive runs. The True Street results determine which racers compete in the prestigious Muscle Mustangs / JLT Performance Spring Break Shootout category on Sunday. The winner of the Spring Break Shootout is then crowned the baddest street-legal Mustang in the world.
Be sure to stay late on Saturday for the insane ididit Outlaw True Street class as the fastest Mustang street racers descend on the Spring Break Shootout. On Saturday meet Street Outlaws TV stars Bobby Ducote and BoostedGT and watch as Ducote and his ’86 “Lil Legend” nitrous Mustang takes on BoostedGT’s ’03 turbocharged SVT Mustang for a best 2 out of 3 match race.
The Friday night WingHouse party is not sanctioned by the NMRA Ford Nationals. Street racing and burnout contests are not encouraged or condoned by the NMRA and are illegal.
