NMRA True Street Goes NASCAR at Gateway Rumble!

No, we aren’t trading drag racing for oval racing but the QA1 True Street competitors are in for a treat during this weekend’s inaugural NMRA Gateway Rumble, presented by HPJ Performance, at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (formerly Gateway Motorsports Park). The 30-mile street cruise will include a lap on the high-banks of the famous oval track, which is home to prestigious IndyCar and NASCAR Truck races.

“A special thanks goes to Chris Blair and his staff for permitting the NMRA QA1 True Street participants access to the oval course for the street tour. Between the cruise on the oval track and the Free Parts Raffle during the QA1 True Street Racer Appreciation Happy Hour, the Gateway Rumble will be a memorable and fun experience that they won’t soon forget,” said Rollie Miller, NMRA National Event Director and General Manager.

The True Street field will enjoy the IndyCar/NASCAR experience as well as free-entry in Sunday’s Bracket 3 competition and the Top 16 averages will have a chance to compete in the Stifflers Gateway Rumble shootout. In addition to the Overall Winner and Runner-Up finishers, NMRA will also crown winners with the quickest average in the 9-, 10-, 11-, 12-, 13-, 14-, and 15-second time zones. All winners will celebrate in the famous Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle, creating a memorable and enjoyable finale to the True Street challenge.

The Overall and Gateway Rumble class winners will receive an invitation to the IDIDIT Performance King of the Street competition that takes place during the Nitto Tire NMRA All-Ford World Finals in late September.

The inaugural Gateway Rumble presented by HPJ Performance takes place May 16-19, 2019 at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (formerly Gateway Motorsports Park). For more information and discounted Advance Ticket Sales, visit www.NMRAdigital.com/STL
