Straight off the streets and right on to Bradenton Motorsports Park—some of the baddest street-legal Mustangs take to the strip during the Nitto Tire NMRA Spring Break Shootout, presented by Steeda, March 1-4, 2018. ididit, the steering column specialists, will presented Outlaw True Street, a No Time street/race category that will run on Saturday evening, March 3rd.  It’s a special street car challenge that will top off a great day of Ford drag racing with a 275/28×10.5 inch tire shootout in a clocks-off format.

“Witness some of the baddest street-driven Mustangs on the planet at the NMRA Spring Break Shootout when the ididit Outlaw True Street class takes over the dragstrip,” said Steve Wolcott, co-founder of the NMRA. “Big-time power at insane speeds make Outlaw True Street a category to watch with big money and major bragging rights are up for grabs!”

ididit jumped into the market with its Pro-Lite steering columns as an innovative lightweight component with integrated street equipment. Several muscle car era models are covered in the Pro-Lite line, but the company is releasing a new application and using the Outlaw True Street class to help brag about it. The Outlaw True Street class is a no-holds-barred heads-up category for street-worthy Mustangs that requires a Ford vehicle to be registered, insured, and tagged so the competitor can take the car or truck on a 30-mile road tour. The category is open to any small-tire Mustang with stock frame rails in place and little else by way of rules to determine who has the baddest street/race Mustang or Ford. Using random pairings, the competition is run with an eighth-mile distance and first to the finish line wins.
