Whipple Superchargers Named Presenting Sponsor of Mickey Thompson Tires Street Car Challenge

Posted By: Mike Galimi
Whipple Superchargers recently signed a multi-tier sponsorship package and it includes a presenting sponsorship in the newest category in the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals series the Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels Street Car Challenge Presented by Whipple Superchargers. The class will run three times in 2021 BMR Suspension NMRA Spring Break Shootout (March 4-7), NMRA Ford Performance Nationals (June 10-13), and the Whipple Superchargers NMRA World Finals + Holley Intergalactic Ford Festival (September 30-October 3). HUGE BONUS Whipple Superchargers will put all three 2021 winner names in hat following the final event of 2021 and randomly draw a name to win a Whipple 3.8L Gen 5 supercharger system worth up to $9,400. That is a 1-in-3 chance at winning the supercharger. Please note a multi-event winner will increase their odds at winning the supercharger system! The Street Car Challenge is a non-championship category that is aimed at attracting vehicles that don't fit into the regular line-up for Head-Up, Index, or QA1 True Street categories. We see a lot of Whipple Supercharger equipped Mustangs and Fords at the NMRA events every year, particularly on quick street cars. Adding them as a presenting sponsor of this class is a natural fit because the street car market is huge and NMRA is fully committed to providing a safe and organized place for those enthusiasts, shared Rollie Miller, General Manager and National Event Director of the Holley NMRA Ford Nationals sanctioning body. The rules are designed with little restrictions, allowing a wide variety of Mustangs and other Ford vehicles to participate during a national event with exceptional track prep and organized schedule. It is also inclusive of the vehicles that participated in the categories it is replacing, offering two types of competition opportunities on Sunday. The top 16 racers ranked using the qualifying rounds will be entered into a heads-up Quick 16 Round-Up while the other Street Car Challenge competitors are allowed to enter Bracket 3 at no charge. The Quick 16 Round-Up winner and runner-up are eligible for the NMRA Contingency program. Mickey Thompson Tires is also adding a $600 Gift Card on top of $750 winning prize for the winner of the Quick 16 shootout. The Holley NMRA Ford Nationals kicks off its 2021 season March 4-7 at Bradenton Motorsports Park with the NMRA Spring Break Shootout. It is the first of a six-event series that visits diverse and unique markets as the world's largest Ford motorsport event production.
